Great Location

Stayed for 2 nights in late May 2026. Great location- numerous shops and restaurants and supermarket - all very close. Easy walking distance to many of the major sites.Antonia was often available via text. I’d recommend it! Carole

Thank you for taking the time to send your review. I really appreciate and am happy I was able to help you whenever you needed. Hope to see you in the future.

Kitchen fully equipped

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Lots of shops nearby. Grocery store next door. Great location.

Thank you Michael for taking your time to write your review. It has been a pleasure meeting you and happy you met your objective of the trip. See you soon in the future 🙂

Wonderful Host super helpful

Antonia was a wonderful host. Our train arrived at 6 am, and she arranged for an early check-in so we could save on luggage storage costs. She was super helpful with the trip planning, where to eat, play, etc. One of my favourite spots we visited in Rome was Giardino degli Aranci, which was recommended by Antonia. Her place was clean, and the best part is its convenience- it was central to all the attractions, we did not have to take the public transit or taxi, we just walked everywhere. There is also a supermarket 1 min away. She met us for coffee one day while we were in Rome and brought Kinder chocolate for all my kids, which they loved! So very thoughtful of her.Overall, a great start and we would definitely stay there again!

Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt review — it truly touched me. I’m so happy I could make your early arrival a little easier after such a long journey. It was a real pleasure helping you discover the city, and knowing that you enjoyed Giardino degli Aranci, one of my most beloved corners of Rome, makes me especially happy. Meeting you and your family for coffee was such a special moment for me. Your children’s curiosity and enthusiasm were wonderful to see, and I’m so glad they enjoyed the little chocolate surprise 😊 Hosting you felt like welcoming friends, and that is exactly how I will remember your stay. You will always have a home here in Rome, and I truly hope to welcome you again one day — perhaps also in my apartment in Spoleto, in the enchanting green heart of Umbria, a place still untouched by mass tourism and full of authentic beauty.

Kleiner Supermarkt 2 Häuser(Nummern!) weiter! Super Vermieterin!

Small supermarket two doors down! Great landlady! The furnishings are functional. The kitchen could be better equipped for self-catering with cooking utensils (pots and lids, sharp kitchen knives). The narrow alley is quite busy, even at night!

Thank you very much for your review and for choosing my apartment. It was truly a pleasure to meet your family. I’m delighted that you appreciated the location and the warm welcome. Thank you also for your helpful remarks: we are already adding new kitchen utensils, including pots, lids, and sharper knives. I promise—next time you won’t feel like in those restaurants where the knives seem specially designed not to cut anything 😉 And about the narrow street: its lively character is very much part of Rome’s true spirit. In a way, it’s a bonus for your son—visiting the city for the first time and studying Italian—to experience Rome exactly as it is: vibrant, authentic, and wonderfully alive at every hour. I would be very happy to welcome you again whenever you return to Rome or if you decide to visit the beautiful town of Spoleto in Umbria, near Assisi.

NEW 2026 IN ANTONIAHOME IN ROME!

Fantastic experience! This amazing place has already become like home for us. We stayed at Antonia’s apartment for the second time (last year we stayed here for a whole month in November – early December) and already want to come back. The apartment is located on the 3rt floor of a typical building in the best part of the historic center. The location cannot be better: only a few steps away from the Augustus Mausoleum, the Spanish Steps and Piazza di Popolo, right near the Villa Borghese, 15 minutes’ walk from Piazza Navona, 20 minutes’ walk from the Vatican, the Forum and the Colosseum, etc. The nearest metro station and Taxi stand is in Piazza Spagna, 5 minutes’ walk from the apartment. The street is not very noisy during the day and quiet at night. There are some very good grocery stores and delicatessens nearby – the closest one is right in the next building over and is open until 10pm and has everything you need. A fancier grocery store Esselunga is 10 minutes’ walk. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and warm (We were there in early January). There is everything you need to be comfortable and even to do light cooking. There is no oven, but a combo-microwave which served us well. Antonia is an absolutely fantastic host. She is very easy to communicate with. Antonia has lived in Rome her entire life and is a great source of information about Roma’s history and can offer good advice for her guests, whether this is your first visit or if you think you know Rome wel

No need to say anything to your review than confirm how can be rewarding meeting new friends like you with this activity! It seems we knew from ever. Thank you for describing so well the area and the apartment exept the floor that is on the SECOND and not on the third floor but this is one of the peculiarity of our countries which count the street level differently. Thank you again and now you need to visit my Spoleto « paradise » apartment in the Umbria region that you already love so much.

Comfortable Roman apartment in a perfect location with a very responsive host, Antonia, who is Roman and will help your stay be as comfortable and fun as possible. You will be close to all the tourist sites by walking, public transportation or taxi. Something to consider: the VRBO website pictures need updating because they were probably taken when the apartment was pristine and freshly painted. Overall, it was a cosy Roman apartment, much like staying at your Nonna’s, where everything is perfect even if it needs a little TLC. You will appreciate Antonia because she cares so much about her guests. Our family of three adults enjoyed our stay in Antonia’s apartment.

Thank you for taking your time to write your review. Guests feedback are precious to improve my hospitality and the confort of the apartment. I just painted all the windows frames that I can do during empty periods. I love the way you described the apartment since it is like my granddaughter described when she first came: “This house is warm like nonna”! Maybe when she grows up she will love to live there… who knows

We had a wonderful stay at Antonia's apartment. It is perfectly located in the heart of Rome, allowing us to walk to almost all of the major sites we wanted to see. The apartment was clean and exactly what we needed for 2 adults. The bed was comfortable with a very nice living area. The weather was sunny and mild with cool nights, so we didn't use either cooling or heating, so not able to comment on that. There is a bit of noise that comes from the street below, but it is quiet during sleeping hours. Antonia is a wonderful host. She met with us on our first day to make sure all was well and took us to a wonderful taverna, la Buvette, for afternoon coffee. It was a delight to meet her, and she was very helpful with suggestions for the area. We ended up eating breakfast at La Buvette each day and had an excellent experience. Overall, a great experience and one we would highly recommend.

So pleased your stay was great and relaxing. This is my aim for my guests! I was quite sure you would have loved the unique cappuccino at La Buvette just few meters from the apartment, this is the other side of the medal staying in the hearth of the city cente, where everything is within walking distance. It was a real pleasure meeting you and hope to see you in the near future either in Rome or in my apartment in Spoleto in the beautiful Umbria!

Great host, great location

Sept 24-27, 2023
My wife and just finished our 2 week Italy vacation with 4 days in Rome. Antonia's Home was a great option for us. We were able to walk everywhere pretty easily. There are good restaurants near by, a grocery market, and plenty of Gelaterias!
Thank you Antonia.

Thank you Todd, it has been a real pleasure hosting you. Hope to meet you personally in the future, either in Rome or in Spoleto. Thank you for being such a good guests 🙂

Great Location in Rome

We just recently completed our stay in Rome, the first time our family has been there. The location of the property was central and the apartment worked well for our family. The kitchen was well supplied and the bathroom worked well for our family of four. It was a quiet location and we enjoyed exploring some of the restaurants and markets close by. Thank you Antonia for being available to answer any questions we had about the apartment!

Thank you Andrew and family, it was a real pleasure hosting you and hope to see you in the near future eiher in Rome or in the magical Spoleto.
